porta Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 17, 2026

porta is designed to let you view and control your own Mac from your iPhone or iPad.

Data Collection

The developer does not collect personal data from porta in the current release.

Screen frames, system audio, clicks, keyboard input, clipboard requests, pairing codes, relay codes, and trusted-device tokens are used only to operate a remote session between your paired devices. They are not sent to a developer-operated analytics, advertising, or storage service.

Local Data

porta stores connection settings and trusted-device tokens locally on your devices so previously paired Macs can reconnect more easily. You can remove saved connections in the iPhone/iPad app.

Network Connections

porta uses local-network discovery and direct local connections where possible. If you configure relay access, your Mac and iPhone/iPad connect to the relay host and token that you provide. Relay infrastructure is under your control; do not use a relay you do not trust.

Permissions

The macOS app asks for Screen Recording permission to stream the Mac display. It asks for Accessibility permission to apply explicit remote input commands such as clicks and typed text. If system audio is enabled during a session, macOS may ask for system audio capture permission.
